Questions

How many clips should I post a day?

Two to four good clips a day, across two or three platforms, beats ten rushed ones. Why the number matters, and how to hit it without burning out.

Short answer

Two to four clips a day per account is the range most working clippers settle into, each posted to two or three platforms. Fewer than one a day and the odds are against you. More than five a day and the quality drops, which the apps notice.

Somewhere between two and four a day, per account. Here is why.

Why the number is not one

Clipping is a numbers game. If roughly one clip in thirty does well, posting one clip a day means about one hit a month. Posting three a day means about three, which is the difference between clipping as a hobby and clipping as income.

Why the number is not ten

Three things go wrong above five or so a day:

  • Quality drops. The tenth clip of the day is the one you rushed, and rushed clips have weak first lines.
  • The apps spread your clips thin. Each new clip gets its own test group, but an account posting every hour can see later clips get smaller tests.
  • You burn out in a week. A pace you can hold for three months beats a pace you can hold for three days.

What the day actually looks like

A working clipper's day on one campaign:

  1. 1Watch the new source footage once, noting timestamps. 30 to 45 minutes.
  2. 2Cut the best three to four moments. About 15 minutes each with captions.
  3. 3Export clean files and post each to TikTok, Reels and Shorts. 10 minutes.
  4. 4Submit the links to the campaign. 5 minutes.

That is around two hours for three clips on three platforms, which is nine posts and nine separate chances.

Spacing

Spread the posts out. Morning, midday, evening beats three in a row at 2am. Each clip gets its own test group, and you get a cleaner read on what worked when they are not competing with each other.

When to post more

When a clip takes off, make more like it that same day. Same source, same style of first line, a different moment. The apps are already showing your account to the right people.

When to post less

If your last twenty clips all landed under 500 views, the problem is not volume. Stop, look at the first three seconds of each, and read what makes a clip go viral. Fix the first line before you add more clips.
